Welcome to the Great British Intelligence Test!
This series of cognitive tests – the Cognitron Challenge – is brought to you by Imperial College London.
You will be asked to complete a series of 13 short tests lasting between approximately 1 and 4 minutes each that are designed to push your planning, reasoning, working memory and attentional abilities to the limit.
Note: If you are using a laptop with a touch screen please do not use the touch screen to play the tasks. Touchscreens on mobile devices are fine to use.
Prior to this you will also be asked to complete a questionnaire. At the end, you will receive a summary containing personalised feedback on how you performed this time and how your performance has changed since the last time you took the test.
Imperial College London will use this data to paint a detailed picture of how the nation’s intelligence and wellbeing have changed during the course of the pandemic and beyond. Your contribution will be used by the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial for academic research, including to understand the different ways that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected people and why it is that some people have managed to cope better than others. The results will be reported in scientific research articles.
The challenge and questionnaire should take about 40 minutes to an hour. You can take a break part way through if you need to. If for some reason the test stops part way through, for example, due to a loss of internet connection, then clicking refresh will continue from where you stopped.
